Traditional Art / Drawings / Animals

Ive gotten lots of E-mails since ive returned from my7 month absence. Many wonder why i am only doing black and white...and if i will go back to Manga/Anime Style. What i have been uploading every day is black and white drawings that i do on the train to work everyday...no they are not fully colored illustrations that i used to post. No They are not Shiny eyed fairies and cat women, but i feel like i have to try a few new things. You cant grow if you do the same drawing and style over and over, no matter how many +FAVS it gets. I have about 40 drawings sitting on my computer waiting to be uploaded...and yes some are some guilty pleasure icandy, so do not fret. With the most humblest of hearts, i really suggest all artists...pick up the media they hate most, and force themselves to draw subjects they have no interest in for a few months. Its great.

Nice black and white design. Very elaborate...
I like this, especially the feeling in it as a piece.

Muh. Tis best to try many styles do what you like, unless one of the styles sells more. But only then cuz money is needed to create a empire of doom (see George Lucas.)

i actually hate anime so i am really glad you are doing this stuff now. its also very very true what you are saying about trying out different things. i look at deviant art and all those famous people always do the same things- i think it's kind of boring. always the same looking characters in slightly different situations while i always try to be different or to be experimental. at least i dont want to stick to one thing and you dont want to stick to anime at the moment

What I think is sad is that if you are an illustrator you always have to stick to one style and people dont expect anything different from you. Oh that's the style from XY and you have to keep on with that until you die. Where is the artistic value. Be more experimental, people. And yes it's true what you said: If you stuck to your anime you would get more watches and comments. How depressing. It's almost like pop music or like the music of some famous punk band. If you know one song of the band you will also know how all their other songs will sound like since they are only a modification of the previous song. Well you get my point and my full support as well

i think its great to try new forms!!! gaah! people should appreciate all art forms and try out everything that intrigues them in my opinion...its what u call an artist moving through phases!..i love this piece personally..reminds me of abrignal art...lol ur great at wateever u try! why else would i watch ya

I definately agree with what you had to say in the "Artist's Comments" section of this piece, but the thing is...
I don't hate any media *wants to try out and master EVERYTHING good in art though- materials, styles and the like*

and I am loving this new stuff of yours!

-no one should get too pidgeonholed into something so much so that they are stuck there,
nor should they become "one trick ponies" either.
